As a young boy, Patrick witnessed firsthand the horrors of the Rwandan genocide. His family was torn apart, his home destroyed, and his life forever changed. Patrick Jobes is a professor of education at the University of California, Berkeley. He is the author of several books and articles on education in conflict and post-conflict societies. He is also a co-founder of the International Network for Education in Emergencies (INEE).
